Vital Illumination

From blackout to breakthrough.
We keep Cuban hospitals and water systems running with renewable microgrids—so care never stops when the grid does.

Why now

Cuba faces weekly blackouts. That means dark ICUs, halted surgeries, and dry taps. The tech to fix this exists; what’s missing is a focused, hospital-first plan.

What we do

We design and build microgrids that blend solar, wind, batteries, and green-hydrogen storage. We start with Santiago de Cuba: four hospitals and priority water systems, then expand neighborhood by neighborhood.

How it works

Critical facilities are islanded so they can run 24/7. Batteries cover hours; hydrogen covers multi-day storms. Savings from displaced diesel are reinvested to reach more families.

What success looks like

  • ICU uptime: lights, oxygen, and sterilization uninterrupted.

  • Diesel displaced: less cost, noise, and pollution.

  • Lives protected: reliable power for up to 500,000 people in the pilot city.

How we operate

Humanitarian first, politics out. Transparent budgets, open reporting, and partnerships with hospitals, engineers, and community leaders. Built to replicate across Cuba.
